Samaritan's Feet
Over 736 million people are living in poverty and unable to afford shoes. We partner with Manny Ohonme from Samaritan’s Feet along with The Community of Faith Church and Good Gang USA placing shoes on the feet of thousands of children/adults. Not only are the recipients blessed with new shoes, they experience humility at its best. As each is prayed for, their feet are washed, a new pair of shoes are placed in their feet and they’re showered with love.
Coats for Compassion Project
In Partnership with Good Gang USA and Grammy Award winner Kirk Whalum, we provide coats for thousands of Houstonians in impoverished neighborhoods, low economic populated public schools, children & family shelters and the Houston’s Homeless. A unique element of this project is that our recipients get to select their coat of choice, sized perfectly for them to wear with pride. In the beginning it may be about style but in the end it’s about survival.
Wold Peace
Begins @ Home
Our annual event, sponsored by RBRW & Break The Cycle USA, gives survivors of domestic violence a chance to shine. We bring in camera crews, hair stylists, makeup artists, and celebrities. Our annual event takes place in New Jersey to hep save Strengthen our Sisters (SOS) domestic violence shelter. Strengthen Our Sisters has 8 houses where battered women and their children seek refuge for a safe haven. In 2010, we celebrated over 50 women and aged out foster care teens with make overs. At the event, all of the women strut down the runway showing off their new looks. We raised $20,000 for SOS Shelters.
Hurricane Harvey Relief
In 2017, Break The Cycle USA assisted over 10,000 people through our existing partnership with Community of Faith. In partnership with our sister company, Real Beauty Real Women, we donated and facilitated over $50,000 in toiletries, clothes, and basic needs.
